iDen & Quanjude may be on the pricier side, but it consistently delivers when it comes to ambiance, presentation, and flavour. Every meal I’ve enjoyed there has been exquisite—and my first experience trying their dim sum recently was no exception.
From the silky congee to the perfectly prepared noodles (thin and al dente — yum), it’s easy to understand why they come at a premium. The Peking duck is, of course, a highlight, complete with a table-side carving by the adds a touch of theatre to the meal.
Each dish is beautifully balanced and thoughtfully executed. The service is attentive without being intrusive, so you always feel well looked after. When dining here, you can confidently expect that whatever arrives next will be excellent—it’s less a question of if, and more a matter of which delightful dish comes next.
